Who are we?
Hide The Label was born in London when siblings Shereen and Ryan Barrett realized that there needed to be a shift in thinking about the way that we design, the materials we select, and their impact on the environment. For the siblings, making and creating was a huge part of their upbringing. From experimenting with sewing machines to starting a design studio, their inherent creativity and successful fashion careers have inspired them to craft a brand that challenges the ongoing issues within ‘fast fashion’. The philosophy was simple. To create effortless silhouettes that fit well, last longer and can be worn by every woman, every season for every occasion. It’s not about the label you are wearing or how current the style is. It’s about consciously designed, quality made, timeless styles that incorporate vivid prints and sustainable materials to give you a wardrobe that has longevity and ‘wearability’. Our materials are sourced with the environment in mind, whether made from plant derived fibers or reclaimed fibers that conserve material resources combined with printing techniques that use minimal water usage. While it’s an evolving process, we are continually striving to improve season after season. we hope that you will join us in our mission to make slow fashion the only fashion.
Shop NowWhat materials are our garments made from?
We use recycled polyester which is made from post-consumer waste products that have been spun into fine fibers and then woven into fabrics, all of which are Global Recycle Standard (GRS) Certified. Using Recycled polyester helps keep plastic waste out of landfills, which can take up to 1000 years to biodegrade. Not only that, but it also has a lower carbon footprint and uses much less water to produce than virgin polyester. We also use Viscose which is semi-synthetic plant based material derived from the ‘cellulose’ or wood pulp from fast growing, regenerative trees. Sustainability is super important to us and we try to minimize waste and water usage where possible. We never dye fabrics as this create lots of water waste. Printing direct to fabric means less wasted surplus ink and minimal use of water.

Our packaging is plastic-free and made from 100% recycled paper products and compostable bio-based films. It’s the best we could find, but we want it to be better. The vegetable bag that we send your clothes in is 100% compostable. That basically means it will disintegrate and completely return to the Earth the same as organic waste, leaving no toxic chemicals behind. It’s home compostable so you can toss it into the Veg peel bin or compost it yourself.
